We now have the ability to monitor the growth of all babies around the world from conception up to 5 years of age using Global Standards derived using the same methodology; the INTERGROWTH-21st Global Standards for Fetal and Newborn Growth and the World Health Organization Child Growth Standards.

Using Global Growth Standards in pregnancy, the newborn period and infancy strengthens the continuity of care from pregnancy through to childhood. Improving continuity of care is recognised by the WHO and other major policy bodies as essential if we are to reduce the estimated 5 million deaths that occur around the world in the pregnancy and newborn period.

Through this webpage we hope to highlight health policy, clinical and public health practices that the Global Perinatal Package is influencing. We will also track our progress in getting the Global Perinatal Package accepted into clinical practice around the world.
