REPORTING GUIDELINES FOR WRITING & PUBLISHING HIGH-IMPACT RESEARCH
Dr. Jennifer de Beyer, a Research Coordinator and Publication Specialist from EQUATOR (www.equator-network.org) will offer a morning workshop on how to choose the right reporting guideline, the use of reporting guidelines as well as how journals use completed checklists authors complete.

THE SCOPE AND PRACTICE OF THE CLINICAL RESEARCH NURSE
In the afternoon Dr Elize Pietersen will convene a symposium on the Scope and Standards of Practice for Clinical Research Nurses. Clinical research nursing is now recognised as a specialty by the American Nursing Association. (details) Earlier this year the TDR/WHO also established a Global Competency Framework for Clinical Research. During the symposium participants will discuss these existing new developments. Participants will also get the opportunity to engage in how to move this forward in low-middle income countries.
