The training tools currently available to maternal health professionals to apply the Maternal Weight Gain in Pregnancy Standards and Symphysio-fundal Height Standards are:
- E-learning modules on the evidence-based management of common pregnancy complications, including postpartum hemorrhage (available in English, Spanish and Russian) and pre-eclampsia and eclampsia (available in English and Spanish). Successful completion of these modules earns certification from the Oxford Maternal and Perinatal Health Institute, Maternal Health Task Force at Harvard School of Public Health, and the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research.
- Blood Pressure Measurement Protocol. This protocol outlines the proper technique for taking a pregnant woman's blood pressure.
- Measurement of Symphysis Fundus Height Protocol. This protocol outlines the proper technique for measuring symphysis fundus height.
- Anthropometry Handbook. This resource describes how to correctly weigh mothers during pregnancy, measure their height, and calculate Body Mass Index.
