About: I am a neonatologist working in a tertiary care setting in eastern Nepal. We entertain 10000-12000 newborn delivered annually. Our Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU) is well-equipped and catering services to a wide spectrum of newborn from 27 weeks gestation extremely low birth weight to term newborn infants. We have 30 bedded neonatal division encompassing all level of neonatal units. We perform frequent central line insertion as well as we provide service to newborn with post-operative issues after surgeries performed in neonatal period. Both early onset and late onset sepsis are prevalent. Blood culture positivity rate 20-30%.
